Vector drawing of the Mazda MXR-01 that participated on the 1992 24 hours of Le Mans.
This car was particularly hard to illustrate due to the lack of references about the exact unit that participated in the race. It took a lot of hours in documentation to figure out the exact spec because even other illustrations and model cars had big differences with the actual cars, like the tire graphics, mirrors, air intakes etc. This illustration was mostly reference on a picture of the exact car taken 22h before the race in what is known as 'Parade des Pilotes' where the cars and drivers visit the town next to the La Sarthe circuit.
This vector drawing serves as a clear demonstration of my progress on car illustration, as I originaly drew it on December 2019, remade it on July 2020, May 2021 and most recently in November 2021, when I added logos and fixed minor stuff from the previous iteraction. Minor fixes including new mirrors were made in February 2022. June 2022 update brings a new roof area and redrawn wheel arches, aswell as new lines and brakes and new shading.
