Neko Racing Honda Civic Type-R (FL5)

With the announcement of the FL5 generation of the Honda Civic Type-R in 2022, a lot of artists from the Mashin Works community wanted to give their own touch to the newcommer. I was no less, so here is one of my FL5 versions.

I decided to make an updated version of the famous Neko Racing EK Civic that was featured in the Need For Speed: Underground videogame. I adapted the oldschool bodykit concept to the contemporary shapes and played arround with new elements. The complitely original bodykit is made of both bumpers, front wings, sideskirts, rear wing, exhaust, grille, headlight and tailight covers and a new mount for the OEM side mirrors.

The livery is a direct translation of the NFS:Underground one, with simple adaptation of shapes to modern trends and car shape.

This illustration has been updated in November 2023 with new bumpers and exhaust and a custom set of Courreges inspired wheels designed by artist Arti Rua.
